Where WorkForge is the better choice
The following are fit judgments based on the linked capabilities, rather than ratings of product quality.
- You need existing training history moved into the system. WorkForge lists historical-record migration among the services its implementation support can include. That addresses a migration requirement that our employee and course CSV imports do not cover. Confirm the records and scope during evaluation. Historical-record migration
- You need a vendor to develop training for your equipment and processes. WorkForge offers custom training content for machine operation, safety procedures and troubleshooting, using video, 3D models and animation. This supports a content-production requirement alongside keeping training records. Custom training content
- Supervisors need to verify skills while offline. WorkForge publishes mobile OJT verification that works without an internet connection and can capture photo or video evidence. TrainGrid is a web application only. Offline OJT verification and our getting started guide.
- Your workers need training in a language other than English. The WorkForge LMS page says “WorkForge LMS is available in over 50 languages” and “Content is available in more than 30 languages”. TrainGrid is English only. Check the languages your workers need during evaluation. WorkForge language coverage

Both products publish a training matrix and competency recording. WorkForge describes OJT sign-off with photo and video evidence. WorkForge skills and evidence. TrainGrid records completions, attachments and competency results. Completion records and competency assessments. In a trial or demo of either product, open one real record and check that it holds the fields you need.
Decide which work must be supported before comparing subscription prices: delivering lessons, checking task performance, or assembling evidence for a training record. Our training-records software and LMS comparison separates those jobs. Use the same sample record and the same acceptance criteria when evaluating either product.
